After I hung up the phone, I wish I had asked if they check for microchips after picking up an animal, so the owners could be notified. Does anyone know anything about how police or the city might try to let owners know? It just saddens me that someone may never know what happened to their dear dog. Especially it could be an elderly person without the resources to track their dog down. |
Oh my gosh, I never even thought of that!! My God - how sad to think that it would be so easy to notify the owners and maybe don't.
