I got out of it once because I was on Hospital bed rest with my last pregnancy. I had to have my Doctor write a note for it too, as they would not take my Husbands word that I was hospitalized! It was over 10 years ago, and it has so far been the only time that I got asked to do it.

My mom could not get out of hers, even with my father having to go up to the hospital during the time frame. She told the bailiff that if the trial was still going on when dad had to go up for his procedure, he gould issue a warrant for her arrest because she was not going to come in on that day. Luckily, no warrant had to be issued as it did not last over 3 day's!
