To answer your question, yes, barrettes can be a choking hazard. Bands are safer, but not everyone can do bands, especially on a wiggly puppy. I hot glue, then hand sew, all barrettes on my bows with heavy duty button thread so they won't come off the bow. You can also spray the bow with a little Bitter Apple to discourage chewing.
Until he's a little older, never leave a bow on him unless you are supervising him to be safe. |
