I had one removed. It was black ink only. My doc said black and blue can be removed, but other colors will not abosorb the laser. It took about 5 treatments. I could've never afforded it but I worked for the doctor and he'd never used the laser for tattoo removal before, so it was kind of an experiment for him too. I have a small scar in one spot because he set the laser too high and it scabbed. I'm lucky to have been able to have it done, my tattoo was a complete mistake, done on a whim after quite a bit of wine.
