Welcome to YT!! It's been a long time since I've had a pup - so I'll let some of the others answer you.

I hope this is ok to do - but another new member today on another thread, asked a similar question to yours about a pup they got - so i'm going to post her answer, because I thought it was good. Not sure how old your pup was when you got him, this other person's was about 8 wks, but I think what Jeanie shares might work for you too.
