Okay....again...if you look thru this thread, you will see the various reasons why some people choose to want a stroller for their dogs.
I know everyone is different and has their own opionions...AND YES, all dogs need exercise and love to walk...but in some cases, these little dogs do NOT need to be on the ground.
I agree w/ Lori...I never (EVER) let my two walk on the vets floor or in any pet store floor...EVER! The germs!!! YUCK!
I also have a friend who has a little girl dog (well, 23lbs) that had surgery...yes, it is good for her to walk, but she can't handle long walks, etc. BUT my friend doesn't want to have her confined to the house and not get out like they use to....so yes, she uses a stroller and that helps her little girl from getting depressed and lonely being stuck in the house after YEARS of being on the go.
If you have been to places I have been, you will see why I think a stroller is much needed..........we do a lot of car shows and swap meets....we are talking acres and acres in the hot sun and the crowds of 1000s of people. Sure, they walk around, but a stroller is a PLUS when the crowds get too thick and these two little ones do NOT need to be underfoot in all that foot traffic.......plus, it is a good place for them to get....on their cooling mat in the shade of their canopy.
Leave them at home, you might ask.....not a chance...why would I?
Plus, with a stroller, that leaves my hands free for purchasing items at these places or outdoor markets or for my camera, etc.
Use a carrier, you might ask...no way....these two are not "bag" babies...they hate being in a bag (plus, it gets too hot).....and they love to be wide out in the open to see it all...and to be seen.
So...depending on your lifestyle, the places you go and the things you do...I can see where some could benefit from a stroller and some may not.
Granted...we are constantly on the go and have lived w/o a stroller for the soon to be 5 years we have had Mojo...but I see where it is a huge plus in my case....and plus, the more places we go...the more I see dogs in strollers...AND we may not use the stroller at all times...but shoot, we will have it on hand if we need it!
