I've researched them and learned they don't care or I guess are alittle scared around small children so that's why we have waited until our children are older. They are son 11 and daughter 9. I can think of no better way to find out all about this breed than to talk to people that actually have one. I would love to hear from all of you!

The pics of your babies on this forum are sooooo cute.
Hi and welcome to YT! I have 4 boy's ages 14,13,11 1/2, and 10 1/2. We have only had Jeter for 6 weeks now and he loves my boy's. Jeter is now 2 day's shy of being 15 weeks and he is 1 pound 10 ounces so he is very tiny still. We have a big extended family on both sides so Jeter has been socialized with my nieces and nephews ages from 18 years to 20 months. With the younger children, we have let then sit on the floor and give Jeter a treat or toy and then let Jeter go up to the child and we would say "be gentle with the puppy" as we guided them petting him. I watched my sisters 20 month old daughter on Monday and she was so scared of Jeter at first but by the time she left she kissed him bye bye! My sister in law has a 4 and 5 year old boy's and Jeter likes the 4 year old better then the 5 year old because one is gentle and the other is noisy and loud.

as for other animals, Jeter has only been with my mom's 2 girl Yorkies so I have not a clue how he would do with a bigger dog. Is your Golden good around other animals?
