Wow, only 4 months old and already limping. You should at least ask the breeder for some money back to help with the surgery costs. Yorkies are known for knee problems however most don't have symptoms until they are older. The youngest I've experienced has been three years old and she never exhibited any symptoms at all. Just woke up one day and couldn't walk. Normally I don't consider surgery until the dog is in pain or having difficulty walking, running, jumping. In your case I'd take her back to the vet ASAP as her condition sounds critical. I'm not sure what surgery costs will be in the USA, here in Canada I paid $1,200.00 per knee. |
