I'm not sure if I understand correctly, did you cut it shorter and notice it got curlier? I know with my hair, when it is shorter it is wavier. My little guy has a silky coat, but I keep it in a puppy cut, and it is wavy. I like it because since I cut it myself, the waves make it blend together. After a bath, he dries naturally, but I think if I blow dried his hair with a brush it would be pretty straight. Here's a pic... he's also curlier around the butt.
