I just learned of the passing of a dear family friend. I have known this couple since I was a little child, they were like adoptive grandparents to me. He had a heart bigger than this planet. His wife is being so strong, she says she is at peace with it. She sounds like she is, which tears me up even more somehow. She has repeatedly told me how she didn't know what she would do if she lost him. She was so dependent upon him. She is 87, the poor dear! They were married for over 60 years. His health was failing the last few years and I had a hunch he would not live another year, but I did not think it would happen just yet. My heart is broken, more for her than for me. I'm just sitting here alone right now and need a hug big time. Please send your thoughts and prayers for my dear Lola, who just lost her best friend.
