I'm sorry to hear that the rescue groups in your area do this. We have adopted out to homes with children as young as 5, although this is the exception to the rule. Our going age in 8 for kids in the home. The age of reason.
We have also adopted to much older people. As old as 80 where there is strong family support. Older people need to have something warm to cuddle with. Seniors for seniors, is our motto. Again, most groups do not do this, which is a shame.
