I have noticed since I got Mochi home that one of his ears stands up all the way and one of them doesn't, it sort of goes half way up. I know this can happen if the hair is too long, so I trimmed them evenly and got some of the weight off them but they still do this. I am wondering if this could be because one of the ears isn't as strong as the other (the muscle) because of letting too much long hair drag it down or too long (I am sure the kennel he was rescued from never groomed him right). Or is this just a common problem with yorkies?

I always keep Momoko's ear clipped short since she was little so she has never had this problem, but i've seen other yorkies with uneven ears before.
