When gracie was 5 months old, we had to go out of town for 2 weeks

, anyway........we had to board her for the time we were away. We took her to a fabulous new place close to Richmond, but since they were brand new, the jaccuzi room and grooming salon had not opened yet
She was taken REALLY good care of, but I don't think they brushed her for 2 weeks

. She had terrible mats on her under-carriage and I could not get them out.
She gets groomed by the number 1 groomer in Richmond, Va (has been in buisness for over 50 years) and they had to shave her belly and give her a short puppy cut
It took several months for it to grow back, but her new coat rarely mats if combed or brushed frequently. It is a much better coat (she has a cotton coat which can be a pain)!!!!!
Sometimes the groomer has no option.........but I hope this was just an accident, and not neglect in proper grooming. I would be hesitant in returning to that groomer unless this was a fluke....
Don't worry, the fluff will return, maybe prettier and easier to groom. Just keep your baby warm.................puppy kisses from Gracie
