Many thanks for such a comforting reply. The blood test has been offered by the vet and your comments are assuring and I will do just that. Will keep everyone posted on the event. Now, after the procedure, I wlll be commited to a regular teeth cleaning routine. It is not cheap somewhere in the $200 range including the blood test. I understand polishing after the cleaning is really important as it prevents or reduces future plaque build-up.
