I don't like the bands because they pull the hair out. I ended up with a bald spot on my baby about the size of a pencil eraser! When her hair was getting long enough to be pulled back, but not long enough for a bow, I used the little hair clips. I bought them at the dollar store and ALWAYS took them out of her hair at night and when I had to leave her for any length of time during the day. Even now, when I use the dog bows, I never leave them in her hair when she is alone. There are tons of websites you can find to order dog bows, just google them
