You also need to take him on a very long walk before you go for at least an hour to use up some of his energy. I know this is a tall order most days if you are anything like me getting ready for work, but it sounds like he has pent up energy and frustration. |
i agree with the long walk before you leave. My mom got me Caesar Milan's book for Christmas and while i don't agree with all of his ideas he does make a good point about behaviours you are trying to stop... and he says you need to get all of their energy out so they dont' use the energy in distructive ways... if you can't go for an hour walk he suggests that you get him a small backpack and put a few small things in it and then maybe go for a half hour walk instead... you should try talking to your neighbour and tell him you are working on a few differnet things and if he could just give you a week or two to try things you would really appreciate it.
