if you can't do a day care or babysitter... Layla's babysitter has a dog who had barking issues, however she barked at people, not because someone left.. either way.. she used a citronella collar, similar to a bark collar but it sprays citronella (the smell the deters mosquitos) which dogs hate.. the dog has made such improvment! you might think abotut hat.. but keep in mind he is barking because he is upset that you are leaving.. and if you take away barking from him he might take his anxiety out on your furniature or something else.. so i think if you can deal with his anxiety it will be better for the both of you.
