I crate train..do not believe in peepads...never have. Elphaba went outside to the spot I wanted her to use before she ever set foot in the house (that was when she came home at 9weeks). Once she got a little older (13 weeks) I hung bells on both the front and back door and made her ring the bell whenever we went outside. Within 3 days she was ringing it on her own to signal me.
