I had to supplement Little Bit, All the other pups were much bigger than he was and he just didn't have a chance to eat like they did. We had (7) He had trouble holding on to nurse. I gave him time alone with mom to nurse then would always follow up with a bottle. I used an eye dropper at first. I didn't like using it because I felt the milk went down too fast. I bought several bottle nipples and kept working with sizing the nipples until I got the best size hole. I cut the hole with very small scissors in the shape of a x. He did fill up very fast. It didn't take much at first. They are so small. I also made sure that the milk was just the right temp. He is now 11 weeks and 2 lbs. But I have to tell you I didn't leave him too much either. Oh and prepare yourself to really bond with this one, I did. I had no intentions on keeping another puppy but there is no way that I can part with him now!
