Ladymom, I agree. Anything above 25 is abnormal. Some just write it off up until about 40 and just watch. Anything above about 30 or 40 (for Yorkies) really HAS to be checked out in my opinion. I would check out anything above 25 though.
Ultrasounds can be a waste of money. They are often inconclusive and you may want to go with scintography instead. Even if it is MVD, your dog needs to be on supplements to support his liver and low protein food. It is best for him.
Of course you could just wait a month and retest if you feel that is what you should do. I just wouldn't be comfortable with it. |
