Are you at work or somewhere you can't really type a lot or something?
We need a LOT MORE INFO!!! I'm going crazy here. Post everything.
I'm especially interested in what the vet said. XRAY!? Ultrasound!? It could be a kidney stone or something blocking the bloodflow to kidneys ... they need to rule these things out ...
What was the crea & phospho levels? How is the red blood cell count?
Our goal was to get the BUN, Crea, Phos levels down as low as we could with HIGH IV fluids (500,900,1200ml per day in the Hospital). Then they come home and you feed low protein, low phosphorous food, add water to just about everything, give sub-q fluids if needed ... monitor the bloodwork.
Monitoring takes place every 48 hours until levels hold steady or go down. Then you double, so 4 days, 8, 16 and so on.
Like I said ... from the length of your responses, I can't tell what's going on. I just recently went through this and am still a little sensitive to it and am trying not to go overboard. |
