 Worried about 9 day old pup
Hi,
We had puppies on New Years Day. The 3 of them were of normal weight, about 3.5oz to 4oz. The little gut was only 2oz, he dropped down to 1.8 after the first day. He is now about 2.5-2.6oz. he keeps going back and fourth. The others are alot bigger 6.8oz,7.5oz,9.1oz. I am trying to feed him every 2 hours and even tried supplement, which he hates and I have to force him to get a few drops. Is there anything I can do or any supplement that is high is calorie or something I can give the mom. She is small to about 5 pounds. Has anyone had such a little pup and they lived this long being so small. He seems to sleep alot and gets full fast. If anyone has any suggestions I would love them. I hate to even leave the house because I worry so much he wont make it. Please help....
