Great news on Lexi

Gracie was spayed the week after Christmas at 7 1/2 months. I opted for the laser surgery and morphine for pain. She only had a small part of her belly shaved, and because a laser was used, the incision was very small and there were no outside stitches. I picked her up that evening(the vet knows how much I fuss over her), she was laying in a cage on a pillow and towel that I brought from home in a very warm room and when I gently said her name, she just stretched and yawned.............she did great

As far as post-op care, No jumping or stairs for 2 weeks, short leash walks for elimination only the first week, and a gradual increase in walks over the second week.............the hardest part was keeping her from jumping..I did pretty well the first week , but the 2nd week she really tried my patients on the jumping she did fine.........

She also had her 2 top baby canines removed, my vet removes all deciduous teeth at time of spaying.......that went great as well.........and she had one rear dew claw removed that the breeders vet missed...............

All in all , everything went much better than I had anticipated.....WHEW!!!!!
