schatzie-

We had annie spayed three weeks ago. I as mostly everyone was a nervous wreck going into it. But it was a lot more simpler than you might think. The doctor didn't really give any restrictions. He said to not let Annie eat anything for the rest of the nite and very little water intake cause it could react with the anesthesia. The first nite she was basically groggy and just slept most the nite. Then the next day she was a little more active. If she tried to jump we tried to stop and picked her up gently. She wasn't wearing an e-collar, and for the most part stayed away from the stitches. On the off chanve we saw her try to lick at her stitches we just stopped her. By the second day I would say she was back to normal. Jumping around (no matter how hard we tried to stop her) and playing with her toys On day ten we had her outer stitches removed. The inside ones are dissolvable and should disintegrate within 3-4 weeks. I swear by day 2 you wouldn't even know she had surgery! I am sure that your baby will do just fine! She seems like a little pro with the surgeries!
