It's sweet of you to try and find her a home. We had a golden retriever when my daughter was 4 yrs old. Now they are great with children when they are older but this dog thought that if nothing else SHE was the alpha with my daughter. We took her to puppy kindergarden with my daughter to try to correct this behavior and the trainer agreed that the dog was trying to be the boss of somebody
Perhaps it's the same case here, not to mention 2 - 3 is pretty young themselves. Wish you luck.
