Are you asking about regular pet insurance? Like VPI or Embrace or one of those? If so, I ended up with Embrace and did basically a "major medical" setup with them where I had a high deductable and a low co-pay and a high payout amount. Their prices differ from state to state, but your dog is covered in all 50 states regardless of which state you sign up in. I don't have any great advice, since I just signed up. My Piper is such a daredevil that it just makes me feel better to pay the 250 per year for "just in case". I know some people advocate putting that money in savings and going that route, but looking at the prices of things that could go wrong, for me it made sense to do insurance. If only for piece of mind. |
