That's not an excuse to give up ur dog. Max bit my husband in a very sensitive area and we didn't take him to the shelter. It was our fault not his. My husband cried when they took him for 10 days b.c he had to be kept in seclution to make sure he didn't have rabies.(we went to the hospital b/c it was near his private and alot of blood so they reported it to people that take care of these type of accidents and they came to our house and took him). Our house was so empty for those 10 days and then they wouldn't even let us see him it was a nightmare for us. And he is the sweetest boy ever I know it was the owners fault for that freak accident.
Oh how awful that must have been for you guys, glad your baby is back.
Yeah it's my opinion that about 90 percent of the time a dog bite's someone it's thier fault. My two dogs have bit me before for various reasons usually from me startling or scaring them and each time I have not punished the dog because I knew it was my fault. Dogs usually are not born bad..people make them that way..I am sure this little guy I am looking to adopt was just scared to death and obviously if he bit his owners then that means he wasn't getting handled right or treated right..i've hardly eve heard of a mean yorkie.
