It's so cute though because during our walk he is looking up at me and I encourage him telling him he's doing a great job, etc.

I'm working on getting him to walk beside me and not weave in and out of my legs, I'm so worried I'll trip on him. I put some resistance on his leash (no collar on him) and just try to sort of steer him.

Are there any pointers I need during these walks?

Thanks
Just keep doing what you're doing. He'll probably surprise you and start begging you to take him for walks one day!

The first time I took Kacee out with her harness and leash, it was hilarious! She went in ten directions at once. I'm not kidding, either! Yes, I used to get tripped up by her, too.

Now, SHE asks to go for walks. She walks beside me most of the time. I use an extending leash and I can pull her back if she starts going where she shouldn't. Sometimes she'll be walking out in front of me and she'll turn around as if to say, "Come on, Mom." I suppose I'm too slow for her! Anyway, she loves the walks now and it's OUR time...a time we both look forward to and we walk every day that the weather allows.
