Take it slow. Don't force your boy and girl to be together, such as for sleep and meals. Give them each their own space. Allow supervised play/get acquainted time. Remember, puppies are "rude" until they have been trained. Give your boy everything first, first to be fed, first for affection, first bully stick etc. Give him extra love and let him know that you still love him. They are a lot like skin kids, with the younger pestering the older one. Over time, they will sort out who will be alpha and will become friends. I have had Holly for 2 1/2 weeks. Gracie is accepting her. They play together. At times Holly becomes a real pest so Gracie will get up on a chair or someplace where Holly can't reach her to have a time out.
