Thanks to all for you words. It is really good to know there are people out there that share your feelings. Molly (Westie) was in the house free as always. Before Saturday night she never showed signs of wanting to hurt the pup. I really don't know what happened. When I came home both girls came to the door to greet me as always but when my wife went to check on the little girl she wasn't in the whelping box, she was in a corner of the room, cold and with puncture wounds. There was some blood on the floor and Molly had some of the hair around her mouth tainted with blood. Alexa didn't show any signs of fighting with the westie.

My pain is triple. For one, thinking of the little baby, the pain she must have felt. Now Alexa is looking all over the house for her pup and finally, thinking that my baby (Molly) who is the most loveable dog I have ever seen could have done something like hurting the pup really brings me down. We are all trying to get over it.

I'd like to take the opportunity to ask a question, Alexa has milk left on her. Any advice on how to go about that. I don't want her to get sick.

Thanks again to all of you.
