nutrical should only be given when needed. Karo syrup will work as well. You don't want to constantly use it as it will cause her blood glucose levels to rise and fall quickly. She needs to be able to maintain a normal blood glucose level on her own. Feed her small meals very often throughout the day and night..as long as she is eating okay, she shouldn't need the nutrical. If you notice any signs of hypoglycemia, that's when you want to give the nutrical. It's just something good to have on hand in case you need it. It's always good to have it with tiny puppies and young puppies
