Hi everyone..it's been such a long day. Lily is doing good. I called to check on her a few times. My vet likes to keep them overnight just to make sure nothing happens. I was nervous about that at first but I know they are taking good care of her. I will pick her up tomorrow.
Grandma is doing okay too. This was her second surgery and was supposed to be the last but unfortuately they found some things that need a little more work. The doctor is confident though, her vital signs have been good through the surgery and after. We are still just waiting and praying. The whole situation was completely shocking..she is active and healthy. She had breast cancer 6 years ago but fought through that. I wont go into all of the details but a new medication that she was on caused a blood clot in an artery leading to her intestines which caused 5 feet of that intestine to die out (which is why she needed surgery..it was very sudden). Hopefully she will only be in ICU for about 10 days and then recovery for about 8 weeks. It will be hard but we will all pull through- I should also mention that her and my grandfather live with us..it's one big family here. That is why is has been so terribly upsetting..I'm used to seeing her everyday and talking with her.
Anyway, things are looking good and the prayers are working. I am relieved that both her and Lily are doing good. It has just been such a stressful time in my life. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. They are working in so many ways.
