My mom used to work with a woman who was ....well, I can't recall exactly but one of the Nordic races....she also used olive oil all over, always had, and my mom said she had the most amazing skin she'd ever seen.
I have to say that genetics have a LOT to do with good or not so great skin, but drinking a LOT of water and staying away from the sun and smoke, taking antioxidants and getting proper rest and nutrition will make a huge difference in your skin.
