I find that lots of activity is needed and a great variety as well. My husband and I plan a schedule for the day that involves Remi. He rides in the car when we run errands or he is with us in his carryall at the dentist or the store.
Then, when the weather permits, he walks two miles. After a short rest, he plays fetch for 20 minutes.
We find if we "plan" for an active day he is tired when we are watching TV or reading at night. He sleeps contentedly on the hassock.
We are retired so that we are able to manage to "keep us" with our Yorkie.
We have had many dogs over the years, but Remi is certainly different when it comes to wanting new and different things to do!
We have him join in with all our daily activities, as much as possible! |
