here is a suggestion, buy an external hard drive and copy everything to it.

Then if, heaven forbid, something bad happens and you lose your stuff on the local drive, you can restore it with the external hard drive.

this is an 80GB external hard drive I have, I like this one, it is small. I am using it now.

(#2 picture) is a 500GB external Hard drive, I have not hooked it up yet. It looks way big.

(#3 picture) this is a memory stick, it holds 128KB to 2 GB depending which you buy. It is small enough to carry on your key chain.
