I have a friend whose daughter had a HP laptop that did the same thing yours is doing.
The daughter is in college and had EVERYTHING on the laptop. After taking it in for repairs 3 times, she just got a new one and bought a Toshiba.
(The store gave her a store credit that she put towards the new one. She said she'd NEVER have a HP again)
