There are a couple of reasons a singleton litter can be a problem...One is the puppy has alot more room in utero to grow making birthing naturally sometimes impossible...

Another problem with a singleton is that the mom may not ever go into second stage labor...Multiple puppies help to stimulate contractions...

We have never successfully whelped a singleton litter naturally... All of them have been born by c-section...

I would recommend that if in 5 days your girl is not in labor to go and have another set of xrays done to see how big the pup is getting...If there is any doubt as to whether she will be able to free whelp then as soon as labor starts call your vet and plan on doing a section..If the pup comes back feet first she may be able to deliver everything but the head and that is never a good situation!...Good luck and hope all goes smoothly!
