My first post here (hi!) - but I wanted to comment.
I live about 10 minutes from 7 Presidents Park (moved here late last Summer). Last weekend when it was so warm & nice out, we took our Yorkie, Amelia, out to the park thinking we could walk her on the beach with us. Unfortunately, when we got there, there were signs at every entry way that say "No domestic animals." However, after stopping & speaking with a local, I think that it's not that they're ALLOWED off season, so much as it's not as rigorously patrolled, so people do it anyway. Does that make sense?
I ended up walking Amelia in the grassy parking area (away from the beach), then taking her home b/c I didn't want to risk it. I heard from our pool guy last summer that there ARE beaches somewhere here in Monmouth County that allow dogs on leashes. I'm just not sure where.
