Kiwi is microchipped with Home Again and I think it is an important method of identification, but shouldn't be your only one. If your baby ends up needing medical care, or is found by a shelter or rescue group, they should all be able to read the chip. It is just another layer of security in addition to your I.D. tag or tattoo.
