Well, Im not a BIG time breeder, but we do breed ours....The only time ours are put in kennels are for transport to and from Vet or travel occ. I have baby gates up in our bedroom, our guest bedroom and top of the stairs. Sometimes they are put on either side depending on what is going on....bedroom if I need them to stay in smaller quarters or vice versa....They sleep with us at night, have their own bowls, beds ect. The boys stay with me and the girls live at my daughters 1/2 block from me..If one is in heat, they don't get to come around until heat is over...otherwise they all 5 (for now) pretty much spend more time here than there...they have done that since they were babies so they are quite familiar with both houses..They are with one of us pretty much 24/7..... Unless you want to breed the bitch, it is just not a good idea to bring her around a stud...you may get lucky and not have an encounter, but your stud will be totally wired and nuts for days just at the smell of her..not worth it..I have a kennel in my living room and it stays open, they nap in it when they want..we use x-pens for the babies to prevent "curious roaming accidents" or another attacking it... so...thats what WE do....
