I just grabbed a tape measure and my pup to go check. The sensor is *exactly* 5" off the floor, and the pup is taller than that and cuts the beam.
I would never have thought of that. I'm terribly sorry for your tragic loss - it must have been horrible. However, hopefully your loss is not in vain, and that others will check their sensors to ensure it doesn't happen to another little dog.
