I have three yorkies and they are awesome!
Very loving, easy going sweet personalities.
We absolutely adore each of them,... and they make a extra warm "Yorkie blanket" on your lap. BUT....
~Not to put a damper on the fun thought of another yorkie~
Unfortunately, as you may have read in one of my posts;
my third has a collapsed trachea~ she will be 3 on August 1st.
Yorkies can be very expensive, it's part of owning this breed.
I have spent thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars~
not only on the tracheal surgery but spays, yearly teeth cleaning, grooming , vaccinations, misc teeth removed, heartguard, frontline etc...(each x 3)
I guess what I'm trying to say, is another would probably be wonderful, you'll love it, and it's easy to only think about the joy of a Yorkie.
Just keep in mind this is a breed that is highly prone to major hereditary problems and needs routine veteniary care.
When my dog was in recovery from her surgery in ICU at the hospital, there were three other Yorkies with major problems recovering too.
I was shocked, and never realized.
So if you get another, my advise would be do your research~make sure you watch for the hereditary problems.
Find a very, very reputable breeder who knows their line, and is in contact with owners of her puppies.
Truely I never expected to encounter any major problems with any of my dogs...
or be preaching CHECK OUT THE BREEDER!
