Hoo boy, I do remember those days I didn't have that problem with my 2 boys - a simple 'yelp' stopped them in their tracks but my female challenged me quite a bit and I had to consistently let her know that I was the 'alpha' in the house! Be patient but firm and they'll get it - do not let them pull you into their dominance game and wrestle with them - totally ignoring them when they act out works better. I think it helps to be the alpha in every situation - first to eat, first out the door, and the one that not only hands out food/treats/chewies but also the one that takes them away when they've had enough.
