How do you take a break when they need you. You can't. I'm only fostering one boy right now although he is like having three.... he will make someone a wonderful companion when he leaves my home. Totally different dog then when he came in 6 weeks ago. Some members have 4 or 5 fosters, so how can I complain....
You can never take a break, just slow down a little. There is ALWAYS something to do whether it's administrative, fostering or transports, vetting surrenders, picking up from the shelters, although I am grateful that is not a big thing here in NJ, phone interviews, arranging-organizing fundraising....it's a job that never ends.
But thank for suggesting to take break. At the most a day.
Prayers for all the babies that need us that they find their way to out safe and loving homes.
