The question is, how much attention are you willing to give? I have the 3 yorkies, and 2 cats and a bird in the house, and I'm always never alone! I think if you don't mind having someone around you all the time it's no problem having as many as you want. They all get attention all the time, in one form or another. The good thing is that they do play together, even the cats, so when they do give you 5 minutes alone they're usually playing with each other...
