Biewers started with 2 Yorkies, so whether you agree or disagree about them being a separate breed, they will have similarities. "Mr Biewer" decided he liked the look and started breeding for it.

Still not accepted by the AKC as a separate breed but you can do a search on here and read lots of posts about them.
THANKS for the information! As a new yorkie owner it was fun to read, I had no idea there was such a thing as a biewer, however I didn't know that a Silky was also a yorkie. Is that correct? My friend has a silky that is much bigger and colored different than my Yorkie. I think I prefer the biewer to the silky.
