oh that is truly sooo scary . . . . I guess you can confine him to say the laundry room so he won't be triggering the motion detector alarm . . . unless of course your laundry has a monitor - well I think it can be turned off.
I never turn mine off but I do have so many stickers outside I think it is deterent enough
