kennels I had a roomy addition built on to my Maryland home...it started at the kitchen. It consisted of 2 rooms, plus grooming area. For safety sake..I had 6x10 PVC pens and 3x3's, 2x3's for penning when I was out and at night...known too many breeders who lost dogs in fights.
I, also had a 16x16 off my dining room..it was set up like a family room, but safe for puppies.
Separate kennels away from the main house does not work for me...
Yorkies are a companion breed, they need attention from birth, much handling and people interaction.
I have bought puppies/adults from breeders who kept their dogs close and those who have separate kennels...there was a difference..especially with the adults....it is one of the reasons I told you that I did not place anything in "kennel" situations.
As to males to females...it does not work that way for me. I select the best stud for each breeding..whether it be my males or I buy stud service.
The amount of males you keep depends on why you are breeding. IMO
