I agree that you should have her looked at for LP. I'm not sure what age it can be found at...I know it shows at various ages...
When I took Sophie in for her checkup...that was one of the things the vet did was check her knees...but then I've heard thats not a good judge because it was too early...she was 11wks...

I had a good friend who's toy poodle had it. He would run to get a ball and then yelp and skip a bit...and then be o.k. He had surgery on both knees and is no..."Perfect"...He is 4 yrs. old now. It was expensive surgery to have both knees done..but what a change for him.
Let us know how Esme is if you take her in...
