The Caucus is Iowa's primary. We vote here in Illinois on Feb 5th. But while I just get to go and push a button for a candidate in a voting booth, people in Iowa literally stand up for their candidates and declare who they are supporting. Then, if your candidate doesn't get enough supporters, they will typically tell you to go support a different candidate in the next round. Obama and Huckabee got the most supporters in the final round. Every state will have a different outcome of their primary. Someone has to be first, and it sounds like the people in Iowa pay a lot of attention and it's more of an event than a chore like people tend to think of voting. That's why it gets so much news coverage!
